CommitteesRecently the Greater Franklin Chamber of Commerce re-instituted a sub-committee structure to the organization. These committees help to increase the Chamber's effectiveness as well as generate a variety of new ideas and opportunities. The following committees will assume a membership of at least one board member and two general members for the purpose of involving general members in and providing information about ongoing Chamber objectives. Membership: The goal of the Membership Committee will be to work closely with the Membership and Community Development Coordinator to retain current members as well as generate a pool of new members. Special Events: The goal of the Special Events Committee will be to focus on fundraising efforts as a whole while strengthening existing events and developing new programs. The committee will work closely with event chair people to insure successful and profitable events. Business After Hours (BAH): The goal of the Business After Hours Committee is to work closely with the Membership and Community Development Coordinator to organize, schedule, and institute a detailed BAH program. Marketing/Promotions: This committee will be focused on maximizing the Chamber's marketing and promotional opportunities through event sponsorship, general advertising, website promotion, Chamber office window displays, and the use of the Chamber booth sign. Loan Committee: The goal of this committee is responsible for reviewing qualified member applications for the Capital Improvement Loan. Nominating Committee: The Nominating Committee is responsible for attracting officers and board members committed to assisting the chamber. Budget Committee: The Budget Committee is responsible for the preparation, completion, and presentment of the annual operating budget. All committees will meet regularly and are requested to provide a status report at each monthly general meeting. |
